The Amtrak phone app has my AGR number and shows two trips I have over the next few months so that is connected.

The website does not show upcoming trips. I want to make sure I am getting credit when earned for travel. Wife used one of the premium CC coupons but it seems my future trips should be showing on phone and website regardless of how I paid if I gave my AGR. One trip was booked over the phone and one was at the station in Greensboro as I was tired of being on hold on the phone.

Also I just realized I do not have a lounge pass with the premium CC. My join date is in Sept of each year and that was with BOA last year. Is the lounge pass coupon new and since I was a month or two early this year before FNBO I need to wait until this coming October for my first lounge pass? I mostly travel Greensboro to Richmond and stations inbetween in between so lounges are not happening but we will take theCrescent to DC soon and I just want to see the lounge at Union Station. I almost went with Business class southbound on the Carolinian but was going to use the 12-hour upgrade coupon but I think the train is a sellout, at least in business class.

I guess my only question is about not having a lounge pass with my premium credit card.

Well the lounge pass is now a moot point. I put in the lowest bid possible for a roomette on the Crescent that left New Orleans a few minutes ago and won the bid for about 25% of the cost. That should give me access to the Lounge when we arrive in DC. I just want to see it for 5-10 minutes more than hang out there for an extended time. Between the 2 meals free versus the cost of a cafe meal and the cost in points for a lounge pass for two I might be saving money.

I likely would have done only one meal in the cafe and foregone the lounge pass on either points or paid pass but it is nice to have all of this for the price I paid. I was very surprised Memorial Day weekend would have an open bedroom with that low of a bid winning.

That’s wonderful! Nice to hear a success story like this!

I don’t know what day you’re traveling, but I think Saturday and Sunday might be quiet travel days because people near the ocean may be down the Shore for the weekend, and many others are visiting family and have already arrived and started on the cookouts and other family activities.

We will be on the Crescent that left New Orleans this morning (26 May) and will be in Greensboro 27 May at 7:30-ish if on time. This is my wife's birthday and she wanted to visit the National Zoo. She knew if she suggested Amtrak I would be on the computer getting tickets and hotels within minutes-and it worked. She has to work Tuesday so we are riding the Carolinian back south to arrive at a more reasonable time and I doubt we win the Bid Up that that part of the trip. and the last time I looked it was full with only a few coach seats left. The Crescent is also full it seems, except for rooms.

I received an email from Amtrak guest rewards today which listed the benefits that I have with my Amtrak Preferred Credit Card. One of the benefits was a station lounge pass upon card anniversary. This must be a new benefit because I did not receive a lounge pass with the Bank of America credit card but only if I achieved Select status.
