7/19/15 - 28/8 not showing up on status map?

Am I missing something? Empire builder 8/28 (Portland and Seattle sections) are both not showing up on the status map. Did the west bounds get it in really late today? But even if that was the case I ship so see them sitting at King Street Station and Union Station shouldn't I?

Why is that? Is it lasting effects of the two derailments over the past week? If so, how so?

The train was already running almost three hours late at St. Cloud due to earlier tornado warnings which delayed them.

Then they moved into the derailment area where BNSF was still experiencing significant congestion due to those derailments.

By the time it reached SPK, it was over six hours late.

That's why I really loved the schedule last year that required them to have an extra set ready to in Portland and Seattle if this happened. The earlier departure time was nice too. So, did they bus people from PDX/SEA-SPK tonight? And how common is this situation now-a-days? I've seen them run later but continue to portland/Seattle.

Yes bustitution was in-play this morning and ongoing currently for #8 and #28.

I believe this is only the fifth time, since the schedule reverted back, that we've had to terminate #7 in SPK.

Usually, if it's running even later and still runs thru, it's because there weren't buses available.

I got lucky in that 8(17) out of Seattle was on time leaving and was even a hour early into Spokane. We only lost time due to the derailment as the line had just opened back up so we ended up only being about 3 hours late into chicago. BNSF was in a hurray to reopen the line some tank cars still remained around the scene from the accident.

You sure did get lucky! 3 hours late into CHI during all this mess isn't bad at all.

looks like things are back to normal on the Hi-Line today with just the normal delays in both directions

You sure did get lucky! 3 hours late into CHI during all this mess isn't bad at all.

Actually it was closer to 4 hours (7:49pm). But yeah.
