I believe Boston's Pullman PCCs were actually built in Worcester MA the old Osgood Bradley facility that was taken over by Pullman.

I stand corrected - from Railfan.com

The Mattapan cars came from three different orders from Pullman-Standard’s Worcester plant during World War II and were delivered from 1944 to 1946. These “Wartime” Boston cars were “Air-Electrics” with air operated doors, windshield wipers, and low-speed brakes. Higher-speed braking was dynamic. The MBTA PCCs are, after the St. Charles streetcars in New Orleans, the second-oldest continuously operated public transit vehicles in North America…

When we moved to the Boston area, we briefly considered a house in Mattapan that had the trolley running through the back yard, some distance from the house, fortunately. On the other side the property abutted a river. I think the "thrill" of having the trolley run by would have worn off quickly.
For a while in the 80s my parents lived in Milton and in the winter with no leaves on the trees you could see the Mattapan line from their house. It was also a short walk to Cspen st. and I used to go there to get pictures. Back then the "Texas Rangers" were still providing the service.
