The LSL consist is currently: P42, P42, BOS Viewliner I Sleeper, BOS Amfleet II Cafe, BOS Amfleet II Coach, BOS Amfleet II Coach, NYP Amfleet II Coach, NYP Amfleet II Coach, NYP Amfleet II Coach, NYP Viewliner I Diner, NYP Viewliner I Sleeper, NYP Viewliner II Sleeper, NYP Viewliner II Baggage

Can anyone tell me about the Business Class on the Pennsylvanian... Do they use an entire coach or a Cafe/Business Class combo? Is the car located at the front or rear of the consist?

When I rented a car after arriving at LA Union Station on the SL/TE, I booked Enterprise at a downtown location (4th & Figueroa). They were supposed to pick me up at the station, but didn't have anyone to do so at the time. They told me to take Uber (10 minute ride through weekday morning...

Amtrak is using a SSL on this train! This clearly demonstrates that they are available. Yet, trains like the Capitol Limited still have not added an SSL back to the consist. Makes me wonder.

Just visiting the downtown area. It is beautiful and unique. Be sure to go up in the observation area atop City Hall.

If you feel you have the time, take the train up to Santa Barbara. Its an absolutely wonderful town to explore. The station is conveniently located to the downtown area.

I've not had any delays when riding the Cascades. BNSF seems to do a great job with dispatching (unlike NS, which is abysmal).

Chicago hands down.

I recall the CONO trackage in Mississippi being rather bad. Not so much bumpy, but instead getting thrown from left to right.
