Every time I try booking for a trip between Victorville and LAUS on the SWC I get the message that there is no train service for that segment. I checked the schedule for 2019 and Victorville is on it... Am I missing something? Help.

I googled this and one article I found states the man was from Riverside CA. we've been a bit busy with earthquakes here but I guess there'll be something on the news.

Yeah I was at the church nursery and it was rocking for 30 seconds. 55 miles from Ridgecrest.

There is a disruption for tonight very probably due to earthquake that hit at about 830 pm. This was a 7.1 out of Ridgecrest. Barstow felt this one way more than the one on Thursday. Whoops that was supposed to be #4. Shows how rattled I still am I guess. How do I fix it?

I need to know who and how to contact Amtrak about allegations against their train staff. Not me. Somebody on a FB group witnessed an incident and wants to know how to report. I don't call Julie for this, right?

I remember some months ago the Cheif sat in Barstow for hours (I think six, not sure). I didn't find out why but very possibly waiting for the rescue engine.

Thanks for the feedback! In the past when I've had to come late it was typically like two or three hours late. Not this late as the SWC has been and the room wasn't part of a block. Ok. I'll check with the conference folks about their agreement with the hotel.

I'm taking the Chief to LAUS then Metro to my hotel. Given the Chief's astonishingly erratic arrival times - today it arrived in Barstow 11 hours-plus late - I wonder just how long my hotel would hold my room. I know they generally have a policy of holding the room if you let them know, but...

I'll check into it...Amtrak app said 3 arrived at at Barstow on time and departed 5 am. Not exactly two hours, no.

This morning at Barstow the #3 sat from 3:38 am to 5:00 am. That I think is a record for Barstow! Can I find out somehow the reason?

Wow, you all voted for the Gold Line. I'm not quite going to old Pasadena. .. I'm told the Del Mar stop is the one to get off at...hotel is less than a mile from there.I will have 2 luggage pieces but I travel light so that should do.

Anyone have experience with Uber or Lyft at the LAUS? I'm going to a Pasadena hotel from there and have a feeling that the taxi may be pricy.
