Currently with 2 VLIIs on the Meteor, 1 VLII on the Star, and 1 VLII on the LSL — if my math is right there should be 15 VLIIs in use at any time (Amtrak has 25). Keeping 6 of them in reserves at sunny side i think amtrak could easily put one VLII on each crescent set... maybe im wrong...

As the meteor has VLIIs in 10 & 12 and the star has them in 11 — I would assume they would come to the 11 position on 48/49 too... would that be the best room to book for a trip a couple months out?

The southbound meteor (97) had 3 sleepers today — a VLI in 9710 and VLII’s in 9711 and 9712. I’m assuming they’ll change it to match the other meteor consists by the 23rd but I thought I’d let you know. If you really want to guarantee a VLII I’d probably try to get moved to 9712.

I feel like a full conversation (even quiet) is probably best had in any of the other cars... I think anything in headphones is probably okay as long as it’s not absurdly loud.
