When we departed out of Indy back in Jan. There were homeless sleeping IN the depot. Made pallets right on the floor and went to sleep..
Made me weary since I had to leave my CC at home.
We took the EB east in Jan,out of Spokane.. Imho,that was a miserable trip. We were the caboose, the tracks were rough as a cob. Had to walk several cars forward to the diner.

We want to take the CZ west to Eme. Then coastal starlight to Klamath. But we would like to bring the southwest Chief back home. If we ride the CS back to LA,it seems we will have a 21 hour lay over... Any other ideas?
My theory on train between Indy and the windy. There was no delay on the rails today. As compared to the pileups on the interstates because a little snow.
Our roomette is basically the caboose. And the ride is rough,is being the rear car adding to rough tracks? Or just my imagination? We have to pass through four cars to get to the dining car.
Had some excellent Thai food. We left the depot on time, but arrived 30+ minutes late the Klamath.
I was not impressed at all with the conditions on the CS..far from clean. Compared to the CZ it was not something I will look forward to doing again.
