We finished the transcontinental trip by checking in one big suitcase, the other a little smaller one fitted in the cubichole over the hallway in the viewliner and of course downstairs in the luggagerack of the superliner.

We are going to make this trip as holiday-experience, not als transport only. Shanghai, are you on a sleeper? I am not to worried to much, but is it also possible that if you have to take the train next day and the sleepers on the CZ are sold out and by example not sold out on the Southwest...
