    was the "tow" engine from Amtrak or CSX? Amtrak Sanford has a Dash 8 for switching. Not sure which wye they used. Nearest may have been the spur to Stanton power plant for coal drags. Guessing they had to take aboard a CSX pilot from Lakeland to Jacksonville?

    Does anyone know how they unloaded the auto carriers in Sanford? Did they drive autos in reverse through the carrier?

    Ashland, VA Station

    I watched the Amtrak stop for passengers on Track #2, away from the station, while a CSX freight on track #3, blocked access to the Amtrak. People missed train. Supposedly there is funding for a Passenger Information Display electronic sign at Ashland as well as ADA improvements.

    I think one leg of the wye has been removed (not to say it could not be reinstalled - may be a Metrorail pier in the old alignment).
