Thanks for the link! I think resuming passenger service on the S line would benefit not only Gainesville/Waldo and Ocala but also The Villages, as well as providing better service for Tampa.

Please tell me how to do it, perhaps just a link might be enough. I live in Ocala and remember when we were fortunate to have the Meteor, Star, and Floridian. I know it might be difficult with CSX, but it’s worth trying.

Yes, Ocala was served by both the Meteor and the Star. It was a great way to visit Savannah frequently (for social reasons), as well as for overnight trips to Washington, Philadelphia, and New York for meetings.

I'm happy for the northeast. I'd be happier if Amtrak would encourage rail travel in the SE, SW, NW, etc. Plan your next getaway with discounted fares to/from Boston to DC and everywhere in between...

Hi! I have great memories of St. Pancras when traveling down to London on weekends when I was teaching what was then the College of Education in Clifton. The renovated St. Pancras is amazing.

Did you have to pay a cancellation fee? I'm also elderly and had hoped it would be safer to travel in late September.
