I always assumed that meant not NECESSARILY guaranteed, because you could make some "unreasonable" connections if you try to.

Looks like the 29th also. At least, LAX to OKJ is available, but for all intermediate points it says that heading to OKJ is "sold out", ie not available.

Better than that, the Gold Line has 5 stops right in Pasadena itself! Three of them are Downtown.

I always enjoy the Greenhouse at the National Botanic Garden... a few blocks from the Station... just past the Capitol Building at the head of the National Mall. Free admission, just watch your time very closely.
