Well considering I have a 10 hour window in Sacramento. The odds of missing that train are very slim. It could be possible to catch a capital corridor train to Emeryville, and then catch the starlight there.
But at this point, I might have to keep it as it is. Thanks for all your help guys
So I am scheduled to take the California zephyr from reno to Sacramento tomorrow, then the starlight up north.
I would love to be able to take a train to Emeryville and catch the starlight from there, so I don't have to get on at midnight. (As of right now, the zephyr is on time)

I wasn't sure where to post this, but another thing I forgot to mention was that the consist before the pandemic was always together in such a way, that the white stripes would always connect with the next car and flow down. Now they appear to be randomly arranged.
I have noticed that after covid, the rocky mountaineer consist appears to be quite different. The bi level domes are not all in the middle of the Consists. I'm curious as to why this is (if anyone happens to know anything)
