It was in July when I took the zephyr and coast starlight (Klamath falls to Portland)

I traveled the other direction a week ago. sleepers stayed as scheduled. The only hitch is the 7 hour bus ride between Sacramento and Klamath Falls. (not all riding; 2 hours hanging out at truck stops)

Just a note: The reverse direction has the buses 'holding up' at truck stops twice for an hour so they don't get to Klamath Falls too soon (Before 7:15 AM). Just did this. It appeared to me that starting up a 'cold train' takes more time than you might think and hopefully staff the night...
