Amtrak Twitter doesn’t post about every delay. It’s hit or miss if they post about it or not.

ones that stop a train at a station due to engine failure, trespasser, etc.
So could you perhaps enlighten us on which specific "service disruption" you were referring to in the original post in this thread? Thank you.

Perhaps this is due to the weather conditions in North Dakota (blizzard) and the 5 day operation of the EB.
Amtrak was operating stub sections of the route - CHI-MSP -end turnaround make up- MSP-CHI next day
And something similar with the SEA(PDX) SPK section at the western end of the route.
Both the Amtrak - Amtrak Status Maps - West (dixielandsoftware.net)
and the - Track Your Train Map | Amtrak
were showing no activity on those days

I don't know who is responsible for the dissemination of information - BUT IT IS SADLY LACKING -
Twitter is a help - but as noted it is not always active on ALL trains ALL the time.

Then I think that freight interference would count. I believe Amtraks (or at least transitdocs) definition of a "servcie disruption" is where there is a change of operations due to an incident. This would be like Palm Springs station being out of service, a detour, things that change the basic operations. Not just a delay.
