Points Guy article - Amtrak attracting new customers

I did a brief search to check that this wasn’t a redundant post, but please delete if it is.

I found this to be an interesting Article about travel trends.

I like the points guy. Definitely worth checking out of you haven’t before.

I read that article too; I like the points guy as well. The potential is certainly there. I just wish Amtrak would come out with some announcement about an upcoming makeover, upgrading computer systems, fixing ongoing abysmal service failures and onboard service, standardizing policies so customers know what to expect - and crews can't make their own convenient rules. The time is right where Amtrak could take off like the proverbial rocket, if they seize the opportunities now being presented. They've got the funding for a change. If they'd just outline what their vision is in things to come, people wouldn't get quite so frustrated and angry, feeling that the new Amtrak is on the horizon.
