    I would like to think sleepers are profitable, but I've never seen any figures that would indicate whether they are profitable or not. If we did indeed have some figures indicating that the sleepers are profitable, it would make a strong case for expanding the sleeper fleet.

As far as I know, most airlines fly approximately the same total number of planes summer and winter.     I think the assumption here is that the Canadian portion of this route would basically be one of VIA's existing Windsor-Toronto runs. So it might be that the only extra cost would be the link between Detroit and Windsor.
