Came across this article - from an advocacy group - about MED getting a pretty massive speed increase at some point in the future. I know that when the new Highliners came online a few years back, one of the supposed advantages was better braking which would increase speeds, but I don't know...

Hopefully this is the best place for my quick question. I'm going to Crystal City tomorrow from DCA and it looks like a reasonable walk or one stop on the Metro - suggestions, advice (have another destination, but that's by... ack... car since it's not transit accessible)?

Has anybody got any good info on planned strikes on the Underground/TfL services and other rail in SE England for next week? I did a cursory search in some English newspapers but nothing concrete yet, so if anybody has a good source to keep an eye let, do post it!

Odense, Denmark's third city, just had the opening of their new light-rail network, the Odense Letbane a few days ago. Just for the record, Odense is just right around 200k urban population.
