Happened today at Paradise. Smoke box door destroyed. Crew is entirely to blame here. Should’ve stopped short of the improperly lined switch and barring that, should’ve stopped short of equipment on the tracks. Just from watching the video there’s 5 or 6 GCOR violations leading up to this.

Amtrak 7 at MINOT has canceled. Z-PTLCHC7-29 has derailed on the GLASGOW subdivision. Both mains blocked. Train on fire.

I’m trying to get an idea of what services in Chicago utilize Chicago-based T&E crews. I know all of the long-distance services do, but I recently learned that most AML trains west of Battle Creek are crewed by Chicago T&E. Are all corridor services based out of Chicago too? How does this work?
