I recently traveled on the Silver Star from Phil to Orlando. Our SCA announced over the speaker that Traditional Dining was returning soon. I sure hope he was right
Leaving next Saturday, in a roomette on 9110, can anyone confirm if this is a Viewliner I or II. It really doesn't matter to me but I will bring an extra pair of shoes if its a II. Last time the bathroom got a little messy.
I'm scheduled in car 9110 and 9210, with the combination of Silver Meteror are these the Viewliner 1 or 2 cars. I actually prefer the toilet in the room.
I'm leaving in 1 week on the Silver Star, should I expect an email from Amtrak to pick my choices for lunch/dinner, wasn't sure if they are still doing this?
I was on the Silver Star north bound and south in December. No mask required in my roomette, when the SCA came to bring the food or I got off the train for a stretch, the mask went on.
Does anyone know if the Florida Van Pool vans are still at the station to take you to your hotel. I use to use them all the time but wondering in the Covid world they are still operating.
I just notice on a timetable that my December train isn't getting into Orlando until 12:49 PM, is that correct, it used to arrive a little after 10:00AM?
Yes, that's the one I am talking about, I've used them before. Miguel is the driver that would pick us up. I can't think of the name either. I don't' remember seeing a name on the side of the van. I know it was white.
Does anyone know if they still have the vans at the Orlando station to take you to your hotel. I have always used them and feel very safe with them. I will be traveling alone and would prefer not to take an uber or lift.
