    Sleeper--no differentiation between roomette and bedroom?

    I guess I'm missing something, but the 2016 points estimator as shown in the chart does not seem to differentiate between a roomette and a bedroom. Just refers to class of service as "sleeping car". How can that be? agr.amtrak.com/rideon/

    Cost of sleeper service

    What I have never understood is when you travel in sleeper service, why do you still have to pay for the coach seat in addition? Why pay for something you don't use? It seems to me Amtrak is "double-dipping" in getting coach fares paid twice for each sleeper passenger.
