I looked at a route for January 2025. Coach and roomette/bedroom are almost sold out. Then add more cars! it’s nearly a year out so can’t they plan for that?
Rutland to Burlington in backwards. Burlington to Rutland is forward. Rutland to NYC is backward. NYC to Rutland is forward. And apparently they sometimes loop the training NYC, making it the opposite.
The Pennsylvanian comes into the Pittsburgh station's spur engine first. After riders get off, the train backs out and does a wye so it's facing the right way to depart East in the morning. Why couldn't they do that in Miami?

I was on a charter train few years back that ran from Hoboken to Philipsburg and then back but on slow going tracks to Hackettstown where we picked up NJT tracks back to Hoboken.
We were there last fall. On the drive from Lamy to Santa Fe, the driver said he was NOT suppose to drop us off at our hotel. But he did. We were the only passengers. On the return we had to meet the driver at Roadrunner. No hotel pickups.
I’m on #90. My ticket reads 9:15 from Charleston. When I check on line it shows 9:15 but odyssey I got an email from Amtrak thanking me for my upcoming trip and sago the trains leaves at 10am. I wonder how many people will see that and miss the train.
I was at Lamy in October as a way to get to and from Santa Fe on the SW Chief. Amtrak has a deal with a local company to van passengers to Santa Fe. Station had an agent last fall. The restaurant acrosss the street was closed. The private train to Santa Fe from Lamy was not operating but was...
