I may have missed this since my last booking, but I now see that discount fares, i.e. Senior, AAA, NARP, etc., are only good if you ride coach. I have always been able to use the senior discount when booking bedroom accommodations or business class. Boy, all these new changes with points...

I was advised by Amtrak that they have now permanently removed the dining car from the Silver Star. I really hate that decision and hope it is not a trend for things to come.

If a delayed train causes you to miss your connecting train, i.e. Empire Builder to Capitol Limited in Chicago, what is Amtrak's policy and/or passenger's rights for continuing the trip?
