    Amtrak Heritage Coach Cars.

    One of the GP40TCs, now listed as GP40PH, was being used as switcher in Harrisburg, PA when I recently passed through. I believe they are numbered in the series 520-527.

    Subway Tokens

    Atlanta, Philadelphia and Toronto continue to use subway tokens. Chicago discontinued their use several years ago as most riders were using cards.

    Jacking pads on railway cars are similar in function to the points where one places the jack while jacking up an automobile.

    Heritage Cars in Whippany

    These appear to be former Union Pacific ACF coaches. I remember riding these and other Heritage coaches on Lake Shore, Broadway and Capitol Limiteds in the 1980s. I preferred being seating in Heritage coaches rather than Amfleet II.

    Breda cars blocked from service in Boston

    Oslo, Norway has a fleet of Breda (now Ansaldobreda ) LRVs which were also delivered late, overweight, noisy and derailment prone. They entered full service years behind schedule.
