According to a Notice from Amtrak, and as posted on trainorders, #2 The Sunset Ltd. with 90 aboard is in a Service Disruption ( now6+ Hours)after being involved in a Collision with a Cement Truck @ a Crossbuck ed Grade Crossing near Dayton,Tx. in Liberty County( West of Beaumont )
One of the P-42s will be set out due to damage,or other damage to the Train @ this time. ( 800PM CST).
18 people, including the driver, were transported to an area Hospital for treatment of Minor Injurues.
Update: #2 was Underway, Departed Beaumont @10pm, 8+ Hours Late and Arrived into New Orleans @ 5:17AM this morning ( 12/18) 7+ Hours Late!
