#20 (12/31/19)is now running 9+ Hours Late on New Years Day in North Carolina after Losing over 9 Hours between Greenville and Spartenburg,SC!

Cant find any Info/ Anyone have any???

And Happy 2020 to all!!!

Yes...it hit a car at a crossing and did damage to the engine. Then, after clearing that up, they discovered there was more damage than originally thought so it needed additional repairs, which could only occur after closing the next track since it would interfere with clearance. While that was going on, it needed a recrew, which arrived before the actual repairs were completed.

Thanks, hope the equipment is repairable, Diesel locos are in short supply ( and poor shape)for Amtrak LD Trains.

Once again the Crescent is jinxed. I checked it last night and it was relatively on time to Greenville for maybe the 3rd time in 2019 and now this!

I saw over on a different board that the specific damage was that the pilot was bent into contact with the rail and that the NS MOW crew that initially responded didn't have a cutting torch or other suitable tool with them.
