Amtrak P-32-8 514 has finished its time in Florida. The unit is being prepared to go out on Sunday's Sunset Ltd. With yard jobs being eliminated in JAX 506 can be returned permanently to Sanford. 506 is a better engine than 514, and only two engines will be necessary to cover the yard in Sanford. 556 will continue to be the regular switcher with 506 working as the protect unit. 514 has been a good engine, working as the JAX switcher, working as emergency power for Auto Train and as a switcher for Auto Train towards the end of its tour of duty. The unit will be bought to New Orleans and likely pooled with other P-32-8's in the midwest.
