Amtrak 85 now originates in BOS

I did see certain Northeast Regionals between NYP and WAS (e.g. 111, 180, 182) were restored effective today, but I also just noticed that 85 now originates in BOS.

This now means one-seat service is available on weekdays between Boston and Richmond, VA Main Street (RVM), but with 66/67 remaining suspended, there's still no weekday one-seat service between BOS and Newport News, VA (NPN).

That's disappointing for me personally, as that's my go-to train out of NYP since it always leaves on time. 173 which starts in BOS is frequently late or already quite full when I head down. Ah well!

I did ride 180 this morning and it was packed... every seat taken, people walking through looking for seats full. I was still delighted to have it back but wish they'd open up the first car,

85, 87, 184, and 152 were all extended to and from BOS today. Which is an extra train everyday to Beantown.

I believe that the first coach will be opening up again soon. I’ll double check on it and let everyone know what I find.
