So, few days ago, I boarded the Pacific Surfliner from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles, CA. It was a consist of Surfliners and a P42 in the rear. Between the two Surfliners lies a Superliner. Inside the train, it said "Businessclass only". I was wondering if that Superliner is considered a Businessclass car or is it a regular coach car?

I also noticed, #572 on a weekday is a single level horizon coach with an Amfleet businessclass car. Today (LA time @10AM), it was all a surfliner consist with superliner.

The Superliners are at a minimum half used for business class and full car when busy.

The Superliner car used to be right behind the cab car, in coach class, but nowadays it sits adjacent to the Business Class Car (2 cars down from the engine), also business class, giving the train 2 business class cars. I don't know what happens when the Superliner is next to the cab now.

Sidenote; the Superliner car usually has dimmer lighting than the rest of the train, making it ideal for sleeping on trips, or having a quieter trip (the doors on that car aren't opened, so fewer decide to move from adjacent cars into it). Personally, I prefer it over the other cars.
