At the end of the month, Mrs. Ispolkom and I are traveling Kansas City - St. Louis - Chicago on trains #316 and #304, spending the night at the old St. Louis Union Station, now a Doubletree.

We've never been on an midwest corridor service except the Hiawatha. What's business class like on this train?

It's usually has the Biz Class Car with 2X1 Seating with the Comfortable Faux- Leather Seats in One Half and the Cafe in the other!! The Best Scenery (Missouri River) from KCY-STL is on the Left side of the Train! As you probably know Not Much Scenery between STL and CHI unless you like Closed Factories and Corn Fields! ^_^

When I rode these 2 trains a couple years ago Business Class was the traditional 2-1 Leather Seats on one half of an Amcafe. It was very comfortable and well worth the upgrade in Points. The LSA was in charge of the Business Class section and did a good job of peeking in regularly to make sure everyone was alright.

just rode the runner from kcy to stl last week, actually the train was quite crowded, there was 1 seat left in business class. defintely think it is worth the few extra dollars. hope you enjoy stl, of course you are right downtown, if the cardinals are in town, it's a great experience
