It's that time of year again, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train! CP Holiday Train
They run a Canadian train and a U.S. one, and the U.S. train's schedule is at United States

I had to laugh a little at one of the FAQ answers:
The Holiday Train’s lights stay on as they move across the CP network. In areas where we travel on track that is not CP, the lights will be turned off.
Joy to the world, but only those parts along CP tracks! 🙂

(I am late making a post about this, but tis life!)

I live in Detroit and kept track of is progress via scanner. Its expected departure from US Customs (from Windsor, ON) was 1845 (6:45pm) Dec 1st. The train squeaked out from.the tunnel at 2139 (9:39pm) much to the delight of chilly, excited folks along select spots on the route.

From one of my train watching spots, I setup in Allen Park with other folks and we were treated with the CP Holiday Train coming through at 2317 (11:17pm). The band played and the lights glowed bright! Pics and link below!
