No one cares unless it directly affects them. Such is typically the case with everything in this country. Maybe we can convince others to care though if we tell them the state is missing out on about $11 million in economic activity without the River Runner, and that continuing to invest in highways is highly fiscally irresponsible. We need to stop throwing taxpayer dollars into a black hole. Rail is sustainable, car-dependent infrastructure is not.
