I wasn't talking about homeless people. I meant the thick greasy/slimy-looking grey-brown crud that's accumulated.

That pretty much describes some of those individuals.

I’m glad to see a deep clean of the station and it likely reaches areas that haven’t been touched regularly. That said, when I had taken 67 fairly often (10 years ago or more) and would be in Penn during the wee hours, there was often someone using a floor-polishing machine, and police were regularly present including the nightly sweep of the waiting room before the last NJT trains would leave around 1 AM. Certainly not ideal but IMHO still preferable to when I’ve been at WAS or LAX during those sorts of hours.
