This weekend, and last weekend as well for that matter, the Coast Starlight is not running south of Oakland due to track work on the Coast Line. Normally, when something like this happens, the Coast Starlight detours via the Tehachapi Loop to Los Angeles rather than being truncated. I was wondering if anyone knew why that isn't happening this time. Does it have to do with the pandemic, possibly?
