Deadheading Viewliner at the Back of the Lake Shore 49 (July 5)

Snagged some photos yesterday, July 5th of the Northbound Lake Shore #49 (5) going through Garrison. There was a surprise on the back, a deadheading Viewliner Sleeper behind the Baggage Car:





I do enjoy the looks of the back of a Superliner. Anyone have any explanation, I would understand deadheading sleepers on the Silver Service but the Lake Shore?

Extra sleeper for CHI to hook to the LSL or the Card as needed???? All of a sudden there seems to be extra Viewliner Is showing up in service!!!!!
