Did Amtrak remove the bathrooms from the Viewliner train roomettes?

It should have been without asking but it wasn't!
The bed is meant to be head away from the toilet, but many people have a strong aversion to looking out traveling in reverse which is a possibility, and want it the other way if the car is oriented as such.

During the day I think it’s kind of gross having the toilet exposed in the roomette instead of closed off like the bedrooms. At night I’m glad it’s there. And I agree it also depends on traveling alone vs with a partner.

Just place one of your bags on it and that will unexpose it 🤪
