Empire Service #239 on 7/10/2019

I'm new to this forum, so forgive me if I post in the wrong area. I love taking the train and just wanted to share a few pics with you of my ride on 7/10/2019, form NY Penn Station to Albany-Rensselaer.

We had a wonderful ride and the staff was amazing. Too bad that there is no food. I love the Empire Service Crest on the engine.

I use Empire Service a few times a year going to my NYSAHA meetings. I'm usually on a train that pases Albany, even if it is my destination, so the cafe is staffed. 2 trips to Syracuse so far this year, I know our annual meeting is Schenectady (Rivers Casino) next year, so I'm guaranteed at least one on Emire Service in 20.

Schenectady has a brand new train station. Hopefully, you'll enjoy it.

My next trip is probably going to be on the Adirondack to Montreal or an overnight to Chicago on the Lakeshore Limited.

I don't understand what takes so long to open the preclearance US Customs facility in Montreal Gare Centrale?

I ran a coaching symposium at Union College some time ago. (2003?) Schenectady (especially the station) looks quite a bit better than it did back then. I could comment on the preclerance issue, but it would difficult todue without violating site rules about politics and insulting remarks.
