Good morning from North Alabama

Hello folks. I'm retired and live in north Alabama. Looking forward to making long distance visits to various family members in Texas and California via AmTrak. I'm planning my first trip late Feb or early March to San Diego. The departure station is Birmingham.

In the summer my family and I are traveling to Wales and Scotland. We are planning on doing all of our travel while overseas via rail.

I'm looking forward to the adventures.

What station are you going to leave from on the Amtrak train. I know there is not a big Amtrak presence in N. Alabama.

I will be using the Birmingham station. It is downtown on Morris Avenue with easy access from I-65.
