This sounds like an interesting program which from the description sounds like it will cover more of the pre-Amtrak Zephyr.

It should be noted that the original preAmtrak CZ was a unique and special train. Five domes, scheduled for scenery, Highly advertised. Some talked about it being the most talked about train in the country. Ads showed people looking up, looking down and looking all around.

Stainless steel was rapidly coming on board, scarcely more so than the original CZ. Also known for stewardess service, called Zephyrettes.

So similar to the Canadian, then and now.

Suburban Chicago, reachable by Metra, although I'm not sure how close that particular location is to a Metra station, or how well Metra schedules work for that event.
