How long do refunds by mail take?

I mailed my unused ticket in several weeks ago asking for either a credit card refund or voucher. But I have not seen any sign of either. Any general ideas on how long it takes? Do they mail a receipt back?

well I finally got my refund, so I guess it took around a month to process from the time that I mailed it in.the refund went directly to my credit card -10%. I wonder what would've happened if I canceled that credit card?

Those funds go into a Black Hole and are never seen again.

My experience on refunds for service disruption refunds is six weeks (ore more). Can't say for unused tickets when cancelled.

well I finally got my refund... I wonder what would've happened if I canceled that credit card?

Those funds go into a Black Hole and are never seen again.

I do suspect that it would be quite a challange and require a few phone calls on your part until you can transfer that to another CC.

Really? Last summer we were refunded for two legs of our trip due to bustitutions (refunded accommodations and also a BC upgrade). It was refunded to my card in less than a week.
