Yikes, another truck collision. The photo shows what looks like a broken wooden utility pole. If the train engine hit a tractor-trailor loaded with utility poles, that is not good news for the engine. Maybe Amtrak should consider putting reinforced armor plating on the front of the engines.

My guess is the train dragged the truck down the track and thats what caused the pole to break.

Whatever happened to cow catchers (at least that's what they're called here...on the old trains the big metal part that stuck out in the front)? lol
 
So what's the story on the Zeph today? Looks like #5 originated in Den and #6 may have terminated there.
