Last month, I went to the Illinois Railway Museum with some close friends from college. We had fun riding the rails all day. But there was one thing that concerned me. While riding the Nebraska Zephyr, there were several children onboard the train that would not stay seated and were running around and goofing off. The conductor did nothing about this (not even talk to the parents about it). Does anyone know the rules guests have to follow while at the museum? Does the museum's rules state that horseplay is not allowed anywhere on museum grounds, including on trains? If not, they need to enact such a rule because the museum is a very dangerous place to be doing horseplay.

Until 10 years ago, I lived about 3 miles from there. No, I don't believe there are any rules as most people are respectful. There were never any problem ever that I know of, and believe me, word travels fast in farm country. It is run by volunteers and the conductor is also a volunteer.

The conductor should have acted to stop the horseplay for their own protection. If one of them got injured this could be a liability issue for the museum.
