I was checking out a very nice small museum dedicated to the Milwaukee Road in Harlowton Montana when I saw a diorama of the Milwaukee Road station on Everett Street. It was donated by the family of James Hamre in his memory. 13 of James Hamre’s family members worked for the Milwaukee Road back in the day so they have a long history together.
I didn’t know Jim, or Zack Willhoite, or any of the other victims of the 2017 Cascades Point Defiance tragedy, but I thought members here who did would like to know that they are remembered in Montana. Both of them are mentioned prominently in the NYT article posted next to the diorama.
