From their newsletter it looks like things are hopping at the beautiful Santa Fe station in Lamy - food, beer (which some regard as a necessary food) music, ground beef, vegetables, yoga, etc. These people have done a great job bringing some life to this settlement.
Am I correct that Amtrak's lease of the station from Santa Fe Southern has now expired and that Santa Fe Southern is pretty much in full charge of the station?
With all these things going on at Lamy, why visit Santa Fe? Well of course you can't stay at Lamy because El Ortiz is gone so I guess you have to bring your own tent and sleeping bag or maybe stay at Santa Fe and take day trips to Lamy.
