Such a shame, but it's hard to believe that someone would actually sleep on railroad tracks consciously. It's sad to hear about accidents such as this, but it makes me wonder how incidents like this can be prevented.

It's amazing how often this happens. Drugs or alcohol are often involved, but still mind boggling. Never been so intoxicated that taking a nap on the tracks seemed like a great idea.
 
Alcohol effects each person differently. Could be booze could be drugs or they were mentally ill. I can't see train tracks being a comfy place to sleep.
 
First the EB crashes into a water truck in ND, then the CONO runs over a man sleeping on track!

How many accidents do we need to convince people not to get on tracks when a train is coming?
