I’ve seen pictures of people riding on top of trains in some countries. These people were traveling from point A to B. Not just train surfing. I was amazed and wondered how many passenger fatalities these railroads had.

When I visited India I was told that the commuter trains in Mumbai average 12 deaths a day. Those generally are just packed with people hanging out of open doors, not with people on top. At least from my own observation.
