Waiting for a train can be hazardous to your health
JAPAN – An allegedly inebriated junior high school teacher, Shoichi Tanaka, 44, asleep on a railway platform bench in Saitama Prefecture while waiting for a train home, rolled off the bench and was killed when he fell into the path of an oncoming express train late Friday night.
Local police believe it was an accident rather than intentional. The investigation tied up the line for several hours.
