Hello, new member here! Just booking my first trip on the auto train with my husband and two kiddos from Virginia to Florida next month. Can’t wait to try it out! Any tips on sleeping in coach with two young children? Ages two and five. Thank you!

I've ridden Amtrak many times as child and teen in sleeper class but have never ridden overnight in coach before. I'm planning to ride from Champaign, IL, to Memphis and meet with family there. I will be packing very light (backpack + my onewheel to get around) so I have less to carry with me...

For coach suggestions, I would say a couple of pillows and blankets for the kids and yourself and a sleep mask for yourself. The kids probably wouldn't wear a sleep mask but then again, maybe they would think it was fun.
