Greetings! I am going to make my first ever Amtrak trip the last week of April on the Empire Builder from Seattle to Chicago. I am traveling alone in a roomette and have benefited from the YouTube videos so I could get an idea of what it will be like. I am a Catholic priest, 66 years old, and my vision impairments from macular degeneration have made long-distance travel challenging if it involves driving. I live in Louisville, Kentucky which explains why I have not traveled by train before. I am looking forward to this journey, and maybe, more journeys in the years to come so that I can continue to travel the way I like to travel.
