Strong second for Katz's Deli. Last Summer I had enough layover time between the Meteor and the Lake Shore to grab a Metro Card and take the Subway on over to Houston Street (from Penn take the A,C,E Downtown, hop off at 4th Street (Washington Square) and from there take the Brooklyn F Line a couple stops to 2nd Ave-Katz's is a very short walk). The Pastrami stacked on Rye is well worth the price and if you get the Half Sandwich-Half Matzo Ball Soup Combo you will be one very happy customer.

Do you mean Rockville Centre? There are a number of quite decent places to eat there along Park Avenue between Sunrise Highway and Merrick Road.
