Apparently SEPTA is tagging onto this order for a bunch of MLVs for themselves

Though they are not doing the MLV EMU thing. Theirs will be like NJT's current MLV push-pulls powered by ACS-46s or equivalent.

Well it now appears the SEPTA is tagging along with the NJ Transit order. The order appears to change voltages and probably frequencies on the fly. This order might allow for SEPTA and NJ Transit on a very low possibility to finally have run thru trains at Trenton ?

With SEPTA getting 60 Hz capable cars that again could as a low possibility to solve their power problems . As best can be determined the SEPTA ACS-64s seem to have power problems on certain segments. Maybe SEPTA could install 60 Hz 12.5 or 25 Kv on those low power segments ?

For NJ Transit, another rolling stock innovation - Railway Age
